Forgotten Filmcast Episode 1: The Fastest Guitar Alive & Hold On

If you’ve been following this blog for awhile, you may have wondered why the address was “forgottenfilmCAST.” What “cast,” you were thinking? Well, it’s been a goal of mine to not just do written reviews on this site, but also do a podcast. It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve finally tackled episode 1 of the Forgotten Filmcast!

For the debut episode, I take a look at two movies from the 60’s that tried to turn rock n’ roll stars into movie stars. We begin with Roy Orbison’s only big screen appearance, as a confederate spy with a gun built into his guitar…”The Fastest Guitar Alive.” Then it’s the first starring film for the band Herman’s Hermits in which they get their name on the side of a NASA rocket…”Hold On!”

I hope you enjoy the podcast. I admit, I don’t completely know what I’m doing with it…so hopefully everything works right. Enjoy!
