Hands of a StrangerWe have four new releases from the Warner Archive this week, all with very provocative sounding titles.

– Hands of a Stranger (1962)
– Tormented (1960)
– The Frozen Dead (1966)
– The Accursed (1957)

  1. Hands of a Stranger is a riff off of The Hands of Orlac, and in spite of some ripe dialog, is well worth a look (especially the scene in which the concert pianist with his new set of hands breaks down at a creepy carnival).

Tormented is a demented ghost story from Mr. B.I.G. (Bert I. Gordon), who usually preferred to do sci-fi with giant people and animals. Stars Richard Carlson in an unusual (for him) villain role.

The Frozen Dead stars straight-laced Dana Andrews, not so fresh from The Curse of the Demon, as a deranged Nazi scientist. Glad to see this is now available from the Archive! Frozen Nazis, severed heads being kept alive– what’s not to like?

Haven’t seen The Accursed, but it sounds interesting.
