Additional Warner Archive New Releases – August 27, 2013

Frankenstein and the Monster from HellI had a feeling that there were more Warner Archive releases today that weren’t completely posted on their site this morning when I first checked.. So…we add to today’s list four shockers from the Paramount collection.

– Let’s Scare Jessica to Death (1971)
– Targets (1968)
– Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (1973)
– Lady in a Cage (1964)

  1. “Targets” is entirely overrated, riding on nostalgic feelings for Karloff- imagine him replaced with another actor and see how terrible the film really is – and little else. The anti-gun message is too clumsily handled to have any genuine impact, and its amateurishly performed throughout.. However, “Let’s Scare Jessica to Death” is a real find and I spent many a happy grindhouse theater afternoon wondering how such a smart piece of work found a partnership with the dross.
