New Podcast: Walt Sent Me

Walt_Sent_Me SmallerIf you haven’t listened to the latest episode of the Forgotten Filmcast yet…well, first of all shame on you. Actually, it’s ok, but if you have then you already know the big news I have today. You see, episode 23 of the Forgotten Filmcast was meant as a spinoff episode. You know, like how The Jeffersons actually started as characters on All in the Family.

Alright, alright, I’ll get to the point. Today I’m thrilled to announce that I have started a second podcast along with Kristen Lopez from Journeys in Classic Film. The show is called Walt Sent Me and we will be focusing on the world of Disney movies. Now there is a lot more to the Walt Disney Company than just kids movies. Disney has owned many different studios over the course of the last 80+ years, so we will be talking about films from the many different arms of Disney’s movie division.

This includes:
– Walt Disney Pictures
– Disney Nature
– Pixar
– Marvel Studios
– Lucasfilm
– Touchstone Pictures
– Hollywood Pictures
– Miramax (1993-2010)
– Dimension Films (1993-2005)

On each episode we’ll be discussing a feature film as well as a classic Disney animated short subject. For our first episode we look at the film that started it all, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, as well as the Silly Symphony short The Goddess of Spring.

Don’t worry, the Forgotten Filmcast isn’t going anywhere. Kristen and I are both excited about this new project, though. Be sure to follow the show on Twitter (@WaltSentMePod) and send us your feedback (waltsentmepodcast@gmail.com).
