Actually Brian De Palma got his start doing comedies during the ’60s with ‘Murder ala Mode’, ‘Greetings’, ‘The Wedding Party’ and the very funny ‘Hi Mom’. In fact ‘Greetings’ marks Robert DeNiro’s film debut and was the first film to ever receive an X Rating.
He did indeed, he just didn’t go back to them much after becoming a bigger name. I mention at the end of the show a comedy he did in the early 70’s, Get to Know Your Rabbit.
I saw ‘Get to Know Your Rabbit’ years ago while I was in college.I think from your review that I remember reading you didn’t care for it much, but I thought some of it was funny especially the scene involving Orson Welles.
I don’t claim it to be a great film but I did find it mildly amusing…thus why I did include it as a recommendation at the end of the show.
